Who We Are
Flossie & Colin
Love, Laughter, Adventure
Together since 2019, we now make our home in Minneapolis. Though we are both originally from out of state, we maintain close bonds with our families and visit them regularly. We have also established a close-knit community of friendships in the Twin Cities.
A hobby we share a love for is reading: Flossie's a fan of mysteries and fantasy novels, and Colin loves non-fiction and sci-fi! One of our biggest passions in life is traveling; our favorite trip so far has to be our honeymoon to Germany! We also both stay active, and go swimming and for hikes with our dogs together multiple times a week. For date nights, we love to try new restaurants, go to the theater, visit museums, and puzzle through escape rooms!
Quality time together is a top priority, and something we both enjoy! We eat dinner at home together every night, which is our favorite part of the day. Colin loves to cook, and he's always experimenting with new foods and recipes. He's also great at making the classics: his mac and cheese is a particular favorite!
We both have been extremely fortunate in our careers, Flossie as an attorney and Colin as an engineer. Although our careers are rewarding and provide financial stability, our main priority in life is our family! We are very grateful to work with bosses and coworkers that prioritize families and strongly support us in our plans to become parents through adoption.
There is so much love in our lives and in our hearts that we are excited to share with a child!
Colin
Goofy, Caring, Smart
Colin's hobbies include being active: he runs, plays ultimate frisbee in a local rec league, and climbs at a rock climbing gym near our house. He's also a huge board and video game nerd, and plays online and in person with friends every week!
Colin loves caring for and playing with our two dogs and is so excited to be a dad!
Flossie
Empathetic, Funny, Intelligent
Flossie loves creative writing and takes yoga classes multiple times a week to help her stay active and grounded. She also loves singing, and is a member of a local community choir (and is always singing along with Taylor Swift in the car!).
Flossie is passionate about caring for others and and gets so much joy from being a mom to our two dogs. She can't wait to bring her caring spirit to raising a child!
Amber & Johnny
Sweet, Gentle, Playful
Amber and Johnny (shown here in their holiday outfits!) both love to cuddle and play with us and our nieces and nephews.
They are both gentle and sweet and will be immediate best friends for our child!
